Jeff Halligan

President and co-founder of Media Monkey Productions Inc., Jeff Halligan has more than twenty years of broadcast experience. During that time he has been involved with a wide variety of productions: documentaries, drama, news, DIY, and culinary shows.  He was a Director of Photography for OMNI TV working on such programs as the award-winning documentary, A Courage to Stand, JumpCut, and Hong Kong in Transition: the handover of Hong Kong to China.  As a producer, he helmed the Canadian Ethnic Journalists and Writer’s Club Awards Show and the Multicultural Holiday Special among others.

He has held a variety of production-related positions, most notably as an award-winning OAP Producer at Corus Entertainment, Production Coordinator of Diversity Language programming at CFMT/OMNI, and Director of Photography for Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting on such programs as Canadian Living Cooks, Sugar hosted by Anna Olsen, and the Gemini award-winning series Health on Line before turning his attention to Media Monkey Productions.

He was the DOP on the short film drama Crust and produced and directed the documentary films Window on the World, and Postcards from TIFF.

Jeff recently directed the documentary series Open Doors narrated by Isabella Rossellini (RTI Mediaset) and the award-winning short doc, Billy Bishop: Canadian Maverick.
